How to connect sony xperia xa to windows xp pc?

I already installed wmp 11 and sony pc companion too. Xperia companion doesn't work showing a message that its not a valid win 32 application . I have installed sony pc companion 2.1 but it wont start up. So can u pls mention how i can connect it? My windows version is SP3

Welcome to Android Central! It's probably not compatible with XP, which is a pretty old Windows version. I would strongly recommend upgrading your computer, because Microsoft no longer supports XP, including security updates. That leaves you wide open to cyberattacks.
