How to Personalize Settings for a Single Conversation in Messages

[Android Central Question]

I recently updated my phone & lost the ability to have a conversation in messages show popups without vibrating. I found in the notification settings where you can make all conversations silent but how do I add categories to the list in Settings > Notifications > Messages? I know it can be done as one of my conversations from before the update has a separate category in setting beneath "General Notifications" & "New Messages".

Basically, how do I add a new category in Settings > Notifications > Messages so that I can have a conversation be silent but still show that I have messages?
