I have the S9+ on Verizon and now have Pie. I did a Google search and found how to rearrange the tiles (or icons).....but when I expand the quick settings there is no little pencil icon. Here is the link I found.
How to Customize Quick Settings in Android 9.0 Pie

I have attached a screenshot of my expanded quick settings. Not only would I like to rearrange them but also to remove a few of them. I am using Nova Launcher and I also have switched back to the stock launcher and the issue is the same in both launchers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Glad you found the answer, and no need to delete. Actually, can you give us a brief description of the solution, in case others have the same question?

Probably the down arrow (lower right corner), oe it could be one more pulldown, then the pencil to edit, then long-press and drag.

Here is what I found. In the above screenshot (my first post) click onto the 3 dots. You will then see Button order....Button grid and Status bar. Tap on the Button order. You will then be able to rearrange the icons or remove them.

So simple but what a chore to find.

it's been in the same spot for a few generations.

what font is that?

Well I came from the Galaxy S5 and just upgraded to the S9+ so things were a bit different with OS6 at least for me. Then trying to get use to using Oreo and within a few weeks Pie came along. My senior mind gets a little confused at times. LOL!

Ok.....the font is called Flora.

I remember the S5. That was the Apex of Samsung bloat. It was after that they really started to clean up. And it was tough.
