Question How to root iQOO Neo9 Pro?

I want to unlock bootloader of iQOO Neo9 Pro and root it but can't seem to find any tutorial or guide for it .

Is it possible to do it?

Please share step by step process.

XDA is the best source, why do you want to Root?

Posted on XDA but didn't find any solution yet. Plus there's no dedicated forum for this model. I want to root to block ads as DNS methods breaks amazon. Adaway allows me to whitelist. Also I want to install SDmaid to clean up temporary files.

Plus I want to install GravityBox to customize my volume buttons to skip tracks on long press.

Being such a new model just offhand I'd assume there won't be a lot of rooting nor boot loader unlocking hacks tips floating around online yet. In a few months or more maybe, once there are more owners of this model to get a chance to mess with it.

If you need an ad blocker without root use BLock This or Blokada.

I found this but haven't tried it for using volume buttons to skip tracks. You may want to check this out:

Most custom ROMs have an option to long press the volume keys when the screen is off to control music. This Android app does it on any Android 8.0+ device!

SD maid still works without root but I am not sure about clearing temp files. You could probably use a regular file manager app for that.

I used to root everything but now I find it unnecessary due to advancement of the phones and the apps.
