My Hero has several problems. My phone just got sent off for warranty repair. It does not have water damage according to the technician. The tech typed up a list of problems and they include:
1. Power Button Non-Responsive
2. Signal Strength Weak
3. Roller Ball Non-Responsive
They obviously tell you that you will have to pay if warranty does not cover this. The power button just stopped working and when the battery was put in the phone it came on automatically. He checked the button, and it wasn't stuck. (He also flashed the phone, same thing still happened) I would also go into roaming when a tower is two miles down the road from me (after I installed 2.1), and the roller ball rolled to the left but didn't roll to the right.
With this huge list of problems, I can almost bet that HTC is not going to repair them. I do have a loaner phone that they gave me while mine was sent off for repair. Can anybody give me an idea if they will fix the phone without me having to pay?
