I was at Silver Dollar City in Branson Missouri last Sunday And My 3 week old HTC One Slipped Out of my pocket while I was on the Roller coaster Wildfire. I am pretty sure I Know the exact moment It made it's escape from my pocket, I was at least 15 to 20 feet in the air doing around 45 to 50 MPH. It was in a ziploc bag with a Paper towel. The phone is fully functional and only has cosmetic damage. I am VERY Impressed with the build quality. Thank you HTC for making such an amazing phone!
Please Ignore the yellowish hue to the white parts of the phone, I wash and stain decks for work and that's all the yellow is...

I have been very impressed with this phones aluminum! While not nearly as crazy as your drop, mine was dropped off a 4 ft tall table straight on the concrete and the scuffs looked real bad and I just like scratched them off the phone with my fingernail and they faded away!

I'm much more impressed that you are willing to let your cat play with it on the edge of your patio table! You have some serious faith, my child!!! :)

So this pretty much settles the argument about the speakers being glued on inadequately. If that were true, the speakers covers would have flown off instead of being gouged like they were. (Looks like kitty is going to perform another drop test off a patio table)

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the yellowish parts, unless the stain has sunk in.

Not that this is at all similar, but I had my first serious drop the other day in an elevator. The phone landed absolutely flat, face down with an alarmingly loud BANG. I took a deep breath and braced myself for a shattered screen. Picked it up and turned it over to find no damage at all. Thanks HTC and incipio who makes my case.

Wait, I thought some people here were trying to convince us it was the worst build quality ever and the speaker grilles would fall off if you looked at them wrong? :p

I would expect nothing less with aircraft grade aluminum?

Also, I'm sort of shocked the screen didn't break. You should post this on Htcs facebook page saying how durable it is. Maybe they'll help you out.
