HTC One M8 lens cover issue

I had the same problem; contacted HTC, which shipped my phone for free for lens cover replacement. I suspect they merely used an original. Two months later my lens has the same problem. I think Temperature has an effect on the film. Does anyone have foolproof method of cleaning the film off. I once again contacted the president of the company. No word back from them yet. They completely stripped my phone when I sent it back. I do not understand why if they were merely replacing the lens cover.

I'm not sure what thread or post you're referring to. Is this some recurring problem with the anti-reflection coating on the lens, or at least on the front glass of it?
