i have been captivated

hello everyone!

i recently got my hands on a captivate. we extended my contract through radio shack and they were offering it for free! i checked around and everyone else was asking $149 for the same phone. it is my first true "smartphone" and i have been CAPTIVATED no pun intended.

it is my first experience with android and i like it... it reminds me of the linux community and that ain't a bad thing. i ain't gonna play with the phone til i am through the warranty but i DO have plans for the phone. to make it a true android will be nice.

i am running 2.1 but hear alot of people talking about 2.2. i don't know the difference but if 2.2 is better than 2.1... i can't wait.

Welcome to A/C. Rumors are, Samsung is going to release 2.2 for their devices end of this month.

cool. Im coming from two iphones and a blackberry... to captivate/Android! now try some custom ROMs which really make the phone shine!

had to send my captivate back because of the shutdown in standby flaw. radio shack's upper management stated that it would exchange it for a phone manufactured after 11/6/2010 (hardware problem fixed after 11/6/2010) due in today on fedex... let's see how it goes :-\
