Is it my SIM card or my card reader?

A few hours ago I droped my phone in the toilet. My phone begin to cut on and off by its self until it wouldn't come on at all. I proceeded to take it apart took both SIM and memory card out oft the phone. I then placed it on top of a elevated cooking rack and placed it over a very low flame with the back side down. I let it set there for about an hour be for putting the battery back in and turning it on. To my surprise it started right up with no problems. my background screen was even still there. Okay no I load my SIM card and memory card in to the phone. now when I turn the phone starts up it goes through the the boot up process with no issues right after it boot, when it comes time to read the SIM the screen begin to trip out like it did when it was wet. I remove the SIM card from the phone and leave the memory card in there's no problem.The phone is able to read all the data that on it with no problem.

My Phone is a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime M - G530T1.

Any help would truly be appreciated!

Whatever it is, the outlook is poor. With several immediate swishes in alcohol, you might have been successful. As things are, the phone is full of residues, even if fully dried by the heat.
