This is more a reflection of a bit that gets set if the phone is rooted or a ROM flashed. This is for the Knox security feature. Basically, they can't guarantee the security of the device for using Knox if you've rooted or ROMmed the phone. And this is how they know. For the consumer user, this mostly affects warranty service as they may not warrant a phone you've tampered with. For businesses, this is part of how to know they can trust Knox.
