LG G4 only stays on while charging

A

AC Question

My LG G4 has been having an issue recently where it shuts off even at high battery. After unplugged from the charger, it will remain on until something is "activated" (e.g. google chrome, camera, etc) and then will shut off and enter a boot cycle. Sometimes it will get through to the red Verizon "check" screen after the LG screen, other times it will not. A couple days ago it started with my phone dying and doing this around 50% battery. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this, if anything? The warranty has most certainly run out, as this phone is a replacement for my old G4 which had the boot cycle problem pointed out by android authority. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it!

For all I know, this may be related to the G4's bootloop issue, so back up while you still can. Even if it's not that, it may be a hardware fault requiring repairer diagnosis.
