Need podcast app/music player app to stay on the lock screen permanently

[Android Central Question]

Apps disappear after some unknown amount of time off lock screen if I don't have them actively playing. GS10 5G Android 11. Podcast player I'm using - Podkicker (tried other ones too. Behavior of lock screen is similar). Also using Samsung Music. I tried digging into settings and disabled some power saving stuff. I basically want it to behave like my GS7 did. Is there a way to pin certain apps to the lock screen? Do I need to download a widget? Or perhaps a lock screen app? Any recommendations of advice appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central! What if you try locking the app in the App Overview, which will hopefully prevent it from being killed in the background?

Best I have managed to achieve is to go to

Settings -> Lock Screen -> Widgets

and select Music to be shown when you tap the clock on the Lock Screen. It is an extra tap so see the media player controls but better than nothing.
