Hey guys, I just ordered the Nexus 4 16gb version a few days ago, and I've been trying to find how to remove the on-screen buttons because I'll be using the phone mostly for gaming.
I have found how to do this with a rooted phone, but I don't want to root mine (security reasons). So, how do I remove the buttons, at least while playing games?

The buttons should hide off to the side like on the GNex, I am not sure why you would want to be rid of the buttons entirely as you would have no way to escape a game or do anything else.

You might be able to with a different ROM, but otherwise no, you can't remove the buttons, since they are your only method of navigation on the device.

Some games hide them for you. I know from experience that Need for Speed Most Wanted does... Angry Birds doesn't.

What I meant was, are there any apps that let me hide the on-screen buttons while I play... I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S, and when I try to play games I have problems with the back and options buttons, which I accidentally press while I'm playing some games. I saw one of the apps that lets me hide the buttons, and use gestures instead, but I saw that you have to root the phone to use it, or apps like the one that hides the buttons, and when I press a certain part of the screen-they reappear (Again, root only)...
