Question No Gmail Audible Notifications

I have a Samsung Xcover 5 with One UI version 5.1 and Android 13. I had the same problem on my previous phone. I get the GMail badge when I received a new message abut I can't get any kind of sound or vibration. It shouldn't be this hard.
In App Notifications, Allow Sound and Vibration is turned on. I realize that that's not enough - there are other places where I have set that up, also. Any suggestions?

Must be your account settings. Open the GMail app, tap the menu button on the top left and scroll down to Settings. There, find the account you are trying to change and check all the settings in the Notifications area (there are quite a few, and these only apply for that specific acount/inbox).
