OnePlus have just started the Open Beta 17 & 9 OTA roll out for the OnePlus 6 & 6T to test new features and fixes that may or may not, come to future firmware updates. You will only receive this test firmware OTA if you are already on their Open Beta releases.

Android Security patch is still, obviously, April 2019

Camera version is now 3.0.37

This is the 9th Open Beta release for the 6T in 120 days = 1 update, on average, every 13.33 days.

(N.B. Open Beta is not available for the T-Mobile carrier minority variant)

More info to follow

WARNING!

For those of you that have been disabling the ZRAM/Swapfile by editing the build.prop file in the recent Open Beta releases it does not appear to work on the latest Open Beta 9 release and sends me to Recovery every time. I'm guessing something has been changed in the build.prop

What's the problem with ZRAM?

What's the problem with ZRAM?

I feel that with 8GB of RAM that adding another 4GB of compressed ZRAM was not only unnecessary but was also taking a toll on battery life and the CPU and causing a lag.

Haven't experienced any lag.

Strangely enough, on this latest Open Beta, with ZRAM enabled, neither have I. In fact, so far ZRAM has not caused me any of the problems that I experienced on the previous Open Betas. Battery life on my 2nd charge cycle is shaping up to be on a par with ZRAM disabled. Will keep an eye on it and leave it enabled for awhile.

Same here. I'm leaving it enabled for awhile to be sure.

I was on the point of sending a scathing feedback on the use of ZRAM in the last 3 Open Beta updates but have held back because of this release. See...

Early days but I have no complaints so far. OnePlus have, I am guessing, tweaked and optimised ZRAM. Time will tell. If you are rooted and using Magisk, there's a module in that link to disable ZRAM.
