Phone acts erratic when I plug my headphones in.

[Android Central Question]

I got an S9 a couple of months ago and the headphones were working perfectly until recently. Now it adjusts the volume on its own, opens Bixby and Google Voice at random, and clicks off of Youtube videos with no rhyme or reason whenever the earphones are plugged in. Have scoured the web for an answer and although I've found people in similar situations, not a single of them have gotten a fix. Mind lending a hand?
