Phone holder for motorcycle?

With my Note 2 I was using a Ram Mount cradle. It was a tight fit and I've confirmed the N8 will NOT fit :-(

Ram has the X grip but it seems a bit sketchy as to whether the N8 might fall out.

Anyone have an X grip with N8 and have input to share?

I have the X grip on my bike for my S7E (waiting on my N8). I can tell you that the phone feels very secure but the backup rubber straps probably won't fit on N8 since they barely fit the S7E. I didn't even think about my motorcycle mount until you posted but I won't be too worried about securing my N8 in the X-cradle without the backup straps tbh.

The Perfect Squeeze by Hondo Garage is the best phone holder that I have come across. There is no way the phone will ever fall out of it. Highly recommended! They are not cheap, but they are well made from aluminum.

This is the one my husband got, it's very reasonable and holds well. I wonder if it would stretch to fit the Note 8 - he has a 4 Active (soon to be an 8 Active). I'll have to test it out and report back. https://steampunkarchipelago.com/co.../motorcycle-phone-holder-for-all-smart-phones

I use the X mount from Ram Mount. it fits just fine no worry of it falling out.

I got the Squeeze. Should fit the N8 with 1/4 inch to spare : - )

My riding buddy has the Ram X mount and he complains that the phone rocks back and forth because the X arms move in their slots.

Plus....I want to be different from him.

I'm not too familiar with motorcycle mounts, but I'm a big fan of ProClip mounts and they have one for motorcycles...

Makes me think with the advances in cameras in these phones with OIS... and the Note 8 with Dual OIS... I wonder how much of the pounding the OIS sensors can really take especially with the constant and often jarring shaking and vibration on a motorcycle.
