Question Photo apps to use when you’ve given your photo files meaningful names

I’m having a hard time finding a photo organizing app that allows me to sort my files by filename. I guess most people don’t rename their files to something meaningful, but I’ve always done this. On the Gallery app that came with my phone, I can at least use Search to find files whose name contains my search term, although I can't sort them accordingly. With Google Photos—which is always the number one app cited when I do a Web search on best Android photo organizing apps—I can’t even search (at least, if there is a Search, it’s well hidden). Does anyone else rename their files to assist in finding particular photos, and if so, what photo app do you use?

How about the Files by Google app, where you can select the Images category? This will show you all of your locally stored photos in a gallery-like format, and you can search by filename there.
