Pixel 4 Won't connect to watch

Hi, my Huawei watch 1 worked fine with pixel 2, pixel 4 won't connect even after resetting the watch to factory and doing initial steps. Seems like the phone can't find the watch in Google wear.

I can find it via Bluetooth but the watch will not fully setup unless it goes through the Google wear app setup...stuck on "continue setup on phone".

Any tips? Is that watch too old for the phone? I don't think so but maybe??

Do you have the Wear OS app open when you're trying to pair the watch? My Huawei Watch 1st gen works fine on my Pixel 3 XL, so it's definitely not an Android 10 issue.

I am using a Huawei Watch 2 with my Pixel 2XL. It has paired and works well on Android 10. Not sure what is causing your issue
