Pixel 7 Pro screen malfunctions

Starting about 4 days ago, my 1 month old Pixel 7 Pro began:
1. Occasionally, the screen flashes like a strobe.
2. Occasionally, the screen lightly flickers, annoyingly.
3. About half the time, the screen
shows very light whitish vertical lines, about 1/8th inch wide, starting at the top. Sometimes it is a line 1/4th inch wide, top center, and 1 inch long.

I've restarted in safe mode and lines still showed up after a while. I didn't get the flashing/flickering screen, but that comes only occasionally.

For 1 day, I removed the cover fearing it was heat related, but made no difference.

Is my phone broken?

I agree with mustang7757 -- that sounds like a hardware defect. I've seen a number of similar posts.
