Verizon Galaxy S8 Portable battery charger doesn't work with Galaxy S8

Hi. I have a ZeroLemon Y594 SolarJuice charger. It's very cool and still works well. It works well on my tablet, my Galaxy Note 4, etc. I recently got a Galaxy S8 for work. When I try to charge it using the ZeroLemon charger, it cycles through activating and sending an initial charge to the phone, then shutting down. It never manages to remain in a charging state. Any ideas how to fix this and let the charger properly charge the S8? Thanks.

Try using the USB C port (c to c cable needed) or the QC 3.0 port.

Apparently there were 2 versions of this with the same model number but very different specs. I didn't realize that until I went looking for a picture to show the available ports. Mine has no USB 3.0 or QC capability. It just has 2 USB-A outs and a MicroUSB in. Both ports do the same-- the phone turns on and off over and over, as if it's trying to start charging and gives up.
