You should try those shots again in HDR. That has really improved since the last software update. That last picture taken in HDR would have showed all the detail in the sky as well as the trees. In auto the trees and landscape are always pretty much black.
Hmmm, thanks for the input. I will play around with it. I previously played around with it and although I did note an improvement with light and detail, it seemed to throw the colors off a bit for me. I haven't tried HDR since the update to 5.1 because I have been happy with RAW. The last pic was actually taken thru the glass of a vehicle while it was moving, so that may have had an effect with detail. The others are still shots at my local fishing hole. I'm probably gonna hit that hole tonight, so I will have an opportunity to play with HDR mode and compare.

I was comparing pictures I took in a dark restaurant with pictures my wife took, and it was clear my pictures were very washed out.

I decided to raise saturation up to +1, and I really liked the result. I know someone will say the color is a little too hot, like the red window panes, but the actual red is pretty bright, so color here is not that exaggerated.

I prefer the +1 saturation on those pics. Especially the one of the butter.

Never an iPhone user. I used blackberry since the 9780 to the bold 9900 to the Z10 but after 3 years with the Z10, it died on me. I don't like the form factor of the blackberry passport so I decided to try an android phone. I am used to the gestures of BB 10 but I like this phone a lot. The build, sense 7 and the size is just right for me. I am still learning.

Z10 was my first smart phone. I had two die on me, so I went to Android, but I enjoyed the Z10 a lot. I had a G3 for about a year, but the battery died, so I moved to the M9, and I'm digging the same stuff you said. I've made a ton of themes too.

Google Camera panorama mode seems remarkably faster than it had been:

And I liked the way textures and form were captured by the M9 camera app here:

Pics from recent trip to Chicago. Many of these were with HDR on. Have always loved the HDR and Macro modes on this camera.

My first visit to the N.Y. Botanical Garden last weekend. I was pleased, especially with the macro shots. A mix of HDR and non; sorry, but I don't remember which is which.

Still lovin' my HTC M9. It would be nice if the 11 has the M9's resolution combined with the smooth tones of the current HDR cameras
