Proximity/Ambient sensor question

So I wiped my screen briefly and noticed quite a few microscratches on the sensor window, all of them hairline. Normally I wouldn't be surprised because my laser autofocus is also scratched yet works fine and the camera can still operate without it. The only thing is, the proximity sensor affects screen unlocking and calls and I'm kinda getting a feeling that the scratches, no matter how minor they are, will eventually cause a problem.

Anyways, anyone have advice on what to do in case of the proximity sensor or ambient sensor going wonky because of the scratches?

I haven't seen any sensor that stops working unless the scratches are MAJOR. Like covering the whole sensor and blocking light from coming in.

Hairline scratches wouldn't affect it (and they shouldn't). At the most, if the scratches get big enough, the light sensor might think it's a bit darker outside than it really is (since the scratches would be diffusing light a bit), but other than that, nope.
