Recommendations for Inexpensive Prepaid Phone

We are going on vacation to Scotland and need to get a reliable prepaid smartphone to leave with our housesitter/handyman. There's a pretty great deal on Tracfone right now for a A03s but the phone itself has mixed reviews. Ideally I would like an unlocked phone in case coverage is bad or cheaper plans appear.

My husband and I are on TMo 55+ on unlocked S23Us but no need for flagship phone in this instance. Just want to be able to have a smartphone where WhatsApp can be installed so that he can call or text us internationally and be able to snap a decent photo.

I'm sure that'll be fine for basic use.

I also see a new (not reconditioned) Moto G Pure on their website for the same price as the Galaxy A03s ($50), which would also be fine (although the Samsung will get better update support than the Moto).
