Remove the gesture hint bar

I was kinda bummed out with the bar at the bottom of the screen in one ui 6.1, and I thought it was permanent.
This bar is only present when gesture navigation is enabled.

Yea that bar.

Most of you have Good lock, if not dl it and the get the module 'navstar'.
Turn it "on"
Tick the setting "Enable extra gesture settings"
Exit Navstar.

Open settings/display/navigation bar.

You will see a setting "more options".
Go in there and untick "Gesture hint"

Annoying bar is gone!

You'll get used to it. I never used it even when I went with an A71 briefly. I've even gotten my luddite wife to try full gesture navigation and glide typing. I think she's in love with it.

Not really, but if I'm in a rush and need to fire off a text in a noisy environment, it beats voice typing by a mile.

I've done glide typing since I used touchscreen devices. I wouldn't type any other way.

I have used Navistar to customize the the gesture navigation bar, but for some unknown reason, the color and width changes of the gesture bar disappear when I reboot my phone. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Somehow on my s24+ I found a way to reduce the transparency of the bar and it is functional but not visible. I cannot duplicate it for my wife's phone.

I figured out why my Navistar gesture customized color bar disappeared. Once I put the Navistar app on the never put to sleep list, the problem was fixed.

The bar is only visible when gesture navigation is enabled. It's mainly for the circle to search feature. Circle to search still works without the bar, just have to long press the place where the bar was located, if that makes sense,
