A
Android Central Question
Hi there,
I'm kind of desperate. Three years ago, my fiance died in a tragic accident. Two months before, I had my business phone (incl. Whatsapp) returned to my former employer for I changed jobs. That's why my phone + number changed and although I made a backup, I can't access the chat backup since she left. After years of not thinking about this chat history, I coincidentally came across the folder in my cloud that contains the old backups.
Obviously, I don't want my current Whatsapp replaced by 3 years old messages. But I was wondering if there's a solution to access the backups manually from my computer?
Note that I tried contacting the Whatsapp support numerous times and they didn't even react. It would be marvelous to be able to have a little piece of memories back just to cope better with the present.
Thanks for any piece of advice!
Best,
Kai
