Since a system update in early December, the colours on my S23 Ultra have been washed out and dull. What used to be a proper Black page is now grey.
Closest thing to a solution I can find online is to change the screen mode from Normal to Vivid (it was already on Vivid). I have changed any and every setting related to display or colours, and have tried every combination of these settings. Multiple restarts and even another system update installed this morning have changed nothing.
Playing around with it a bit more, and nothing I change in the Screen Mode settings actually changes anything.
Changing between Normal and Vivid does nothing to the Screen
Changing the Temperature of the colours changes nothing for the colours
Changing the white balances of Red Green and Blue changes nothing. I can change the sliders from one end to the other and there is no change to how it looks.

you tried safe mode just in case something 3rd party doing this will only run native apps all 3rd party will be disabled.
