I pre-ordered one this morning. Getting any 5G phone for $650 (plus tax), let alone a Note 10+, was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

I also noticed comes with Android 10 right out of the box: (Sorry if already mentioned)

"In addition to all the great features of the Samsung Galaxy Note10+, such as the large 6.8” QHD+ display, intelligent S Pen, and powerful battery, the new Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G will have the 5G-enabled modem and come with the new Android 10 OS out of the box"

That would mean T-Mobile should be ready to roll Android 10 to the rest of us..

The phones are almost identical

Can someone please answer a question? From what I read this T-Mobile version just works on the low band 600Mhz band, not the faster mid-range or milimeter wave, and is really only 20% faster than LTE? So when the real 5G rolls out, this will be incompatible with the faster technology? $1,300 for a phone with limited technology. Yes new chips, but headed to obsolescence already.

You're correct that the current T-Mobile 5G phones only work on the low 600MHz band. However, I live in a semi-rural area and it may be years before the faster mm wave 5G comes to my area. In the meantime, I want to be able to benefit from faster 4G and the low band 5G. If you live in a major metropolitan area, the current T-Mobile 5G phones may not be right for you.
