I am experienced building computers but I'm new to Smart Phones. I have a Samsung Galaxy S-7 running Android version 8.0.0. It has the latest Android security patch dated December 1 2018. I am trying to run an app called Runkeeper, and I'm trying to get rid of all password protection. I want it where I can just hit the home button to see my current distance and speed. The problem is that I have to enter a password every time I want to do that. I have spent hours trying to get the password disabled, but have been unsuccessful. I go to "Lock screen and Security", but have no option there to disable the password that is installed there. What I would like is to be able to have no security screen in place. I would like to be able to hit the home button to see the "Runkeeper" app I am using while running.I know this sounds like a simple problem, but I cannot find a way to disable passwords. Can anyone help? Thanks so very much.
