I got it on my unlocked Flip 3 on AT&T a few days ago... since both our phones came out in 2021 I would think you should see it any time now 😉

Who's your carrier?

AT&T. My S21 Ultra is unlocked. If T-mobile hasn't released it either, Samsung must have held it up?

Yeah it's just a security patch, I don't think there would be anything phone specific in it? Samsung does roll out updates in staged waves... they must be waiting on the S21 line for some reason 🤔

Actually, thinking about it, I do believe I read in one of my security updates something about changes for my particular phone (like camera improvements etc), so maybe the updates are made for specific phone models. I think that's why their security updates are so much bigger than a Pixels... instead of feature drops, they add improvements in to the security update. That would also explain the delay.

Samsung/carriers have a tendency for some reason to delay unlocked devices. There was a period of time awhile back where they were behind by almost 3 months, which shouldn't happen obviously.

I would assume this is the case for most delays with unlocked devices. Unlocked devices get their updates after carrier branded phones do.
