Hi. Recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s(Global Version). It has a 5020mah battery. I had the phone for about 6 days already and have been using it normally (browsing, FB, Instagram, shopping app, bit of Youtube and had been able to game on it for approximately 2hrs only every since I got it). I would start charging it around 10-15% to 80-90%. A few days ago I went to take a nap(around 5hrs) and woke up to a 7% battery discharge. Wifi/mobile data and wake screen notification OFF. I master reset the phone. Re-installed everything again. Left the phone for 3hrs(no wifi/data/wake screen notif) and it discharged 3%. Another 7% discharge after leaving the phone idle for 7 hrs (same setting). Reviews I see in Youtube with wifi/data ON overnight the device would discharge 1-3%. As of this writing the phone is running 3hrs of no usage after charging(cleared apps using built in cleaner after charging) but this time connected to wifi and no wake screen notification and it discharged 5%. Is there something wrong with the battery? Or am I just being paranoid cause tomorrow would be the last day I can replace the device with a brand new one. Please help:'(

Quick Spec:
IPS LCD 1080 x 2400
Android 10
SD 720G
6Gb/128Gb
5020mah

Welcome to Android Central! That kind of discharge while idle is not unusual. If a phone discharges 7% in 7 hours of being idle, that means it has 100 hours of standby time, which is more than 4 days without charging -- that's pretty decent. Remember also that poor cell signal can cause battery drain, so it would be important to know what your signal is like.

Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which may show Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Hi. Thank you for the reply. For now here is what I got. So this is the graph from yesterdays charge. I did not use the phone. The blue marks is where I just check messenger and to clear apps and to check the time. Take note that the middle to end part is where I have the phone in battery saver mode for 7 hours. It on discharged 3% and the first to middle part it discharge 8% connected to wifi within 6 hours.

So this is the phone 95% idle for 14 hours.

Your signal doesn't look great, so that's probably part of it. To completely eliminate the cell signal variable, you can turn on Airplane Mode, then turn wi-fi back on, and then measure your battery again.

I only get 2-3 bars of signal in our place. Though my partners phone is different i dont see that kind of discharge in her device. I dont experience this with my old phone as well. I have another screenshot below. This was taken after using the phone WITHOUT turning off the screen with 50% brightness. No gaming. Browsing, social media and shopping app.

With that kind of usage over time. Am i experiencing a battery issue?

WiFi was cut off for period of time and was on mobile.

I need to see from 100 to 20 percent to get a better idea what's going on , but also it can take a week to learn your usage pattern before you know if you really have a issue .

Yes. I thought so as well. Im just kinda bummed out about the idle discharge though. For now i restricted all apps i can that i dont normally use and check idle consumption again.
