What are your thoughts on Material Design?

How do you like it? Is it an improvement from Holo or backpedaling to skeuomorphism? What would you change if you could?

Notification bar sucks if you want to see settings you have to swipe down twice other than that it's good

I would have agreed with thatguy97, but Nova Actions bypass the double swipe for the quick toggles.

i like google's new material design. has a cool futuristic appeal to it.

the design of Android 4.X is starting to feel a bit dated. the blue/black feel going into the black/white feel never real had a good transition. I like this somewhat holographic new design.

Going off the GApps updates, I absolutely love material and Android L is going to be awesome. And by awesome, I mean the kind of style/design that would make Steve Jobs proper jealous.

I'm undecided at the moment. The apps that have started to get it feel like they are going a little overboard on the colour vibrancy. The animations feel a little busy too. Newsstand is the biggest offender so far. Still, my mind remains open until everything is out in the wild.
