The Android system is indeed a very strange system in many ways. This eveneing I noticed that I have 10 jpg photos in the storage/dcim/camera folder using the Files App. I can click on them and view them. However, when opening the Gallery I only see 7 of them. There is obvioulsy no direct connection between what is stored in the camera folder and what is shown in the Gallery. Can someone reveal how this works?

...come to think of it. I believe it's a problem related to the thumbnails. When you copy, delete and move photos manually between folders or by apps, the database is corrupted and the system must restore it somehow.
