Why aren't my S Planner and Google Calendar syncing?

SPlanner and Google Calendar Not Syncing

Hi,

Last week my S4 was updated with the lollipop and immediately I started to notice an issue with the SPlanner not syncing with my Google calendar when I updated it on the computer. It was going the other way too...if I put something in Splanner it would not refresh.

I cannot find a solution to fix it.....mostly because the Splanner has no REFRESH button. If it does, can someone tell me where it is? Does anyone know of another alternative. I am good with going back to my google calendar app, but I don't know how to uninstall/delete Splanner (it is a default app on the phone).
