Why is my camera so slow?

recently, it takes like 2 minutes for my A8 phone camera to stop recording a video. If I press recording right after it stops, it will take another two minutes to start recording. I cleared cache and there are free space in the memory. How can I find out what is wrong with it?

Welcome to Android Central! What resolution are you recording at? Is the camera saving to Internal Storage or the SD card?

If it's very high resolution, then the file is going to be pretty big, and the camera might need time to finish processing the video and saving it. This would probably occupy the camera, so that you wouldn't be able to start recording another video until the processing is finished. If the camera is saving to an SD card, that can make it even slower, since read-write speeds on SD cards will always be slower than Internal Storage.

Try clearing data and force stop the camera app
