Why is my galaxy J3 not taking screenshots?

I'm pressing the power and the home button down at the same time exactly the same as I have always done but recently it has stopped taking any screenshot and instead the phone acts like I've only pressed the home button. I've tried pressing with different pressures and lengths of time but nothing works. Could somebody help please?

Welcome to Android Central! Phones can be pretty finicky, requiring you to press both buttons at exactly the same time. If you're certain that you're doing so, then it's possible the Power button is faulty. Does the Power button work normally when you want to turn the screen or the whole phone off and on?
