Why is my samsung s6 sending the same text message twice?

In the past 2 weeks I have the same problem. Why is it every time I send someone a text message, it sends it twice?

This kind of thing happens to many users (including myself); regardless of carrier, phone, etc. I suggest contacting your carrier and seeing if they can assist you in any way. Are you using the stock SMS app that came with your phone? Maybe using a third-party SMS app, like Textra, may help. Keep us posted!
