Will t-mobile buy out an edge plan?

I'm in a new edge plan on Verizon but it looks like pink is improving in my area. The ads say they'll pay off your current plan if you switch. How does that work on an Edge plan?

It works the same way. They will give you a card for the remaining balance of the phone.

Remember though when doing these "switch" offers it is like a rebate .. it can take a few weeks. So ensure you have the money to pay off the previous carrier (so it doesn't go to collections or anything) and then you will be reimbursed (basically) once you receive the card.
