Replace Liquid Smooth camera with a Sense camera?

I flashed Liquid Smooth 3.2 for my Thunderbolt and really liked it except one thing- the camera didn't work right with an app called checkpoints that lets you scan product barcodes and earn points toward rewards. The camera that came with the ROM worked just fine in every other situation I tried, just not with that app. I really like to use checkpoints to earn easy points toward rewards, so this is a dealbreaker for me.

Is it possible to get rid of the camera that comes with Liquid Smooth and replace it with an HTC Sense camera? The camera works in checkpoints with multiple Sense ROMS I've tried, which is why I think this is an AOSP camera issue (I had the same problems using CM7).
