When I installed the new music.apk (downloaded from the blogs of this site) it didn't overwrite the current application. I am wondering if I could use ROM manager to simply remove one and install the other into the system root. Has anybody done this? Does anyone know if it is possible? I hate having two music icons in my app drawer.

Thanks,

Instead of removing the Sense music player I would just rename it which will remove it from you app drawer. This way if you ever want it back or removing it cause problem you still have it. Using root explorer follow this path system>app> find HtcMusic.apk, then hit the Mount R/W on root explorer then and then long press on the music app>rename and just add ".old" after the apk. And to reverse just remove the ".old".
