Outgoing Calls Through Car Stereo Bluetooth

I have a Pioneer 6400BT car stereo which is paired with my DNA. I am able to stream and listen to music through my car stereo bluetooth with Pandora, Google Music, Youtube, etc. I also am able to answer phone calls through the stereo system via bluetooth. However, I am unable to be heard when making outgoing calls. I can hear the other person saying "hello," but they can't hear me. This happens whether I dial through the phone or the car stereo headset. Is there a button that I need to check or uncheck on the DNA to make the connection for outgoing calls work properly? Thanks!

Im using Chrysler U-Connect through the Chrysler radio and mine works fine.

Can you let me know your various settings either on your phone or if there is anything similar on your car? I have a Jeep and also use U connect. I had my dealer update the software for it, but it did not help. This is the only part of the dna that I have issues with. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.
