I need a new phone or something because the power button on my phone doesnt work right anymore, and the back is chipped off and exposed. How do I ask for a different phone instead, like the OG DROID or something like that?

Warranty only covers defects in workmanship.

You could try to get a replacement under Warranty as a defective switch. However, if it's obvious the broken part is from a drop then that would be accidental damage and would not be covered under Warranty.

Otherwise, it would be covered under Insurance, if you have it.

Take it into a store and see what they say. They would only replace it with another DInc. I have not heard about model switches unless there have been chronic issues with a customer.

Hope this helps.

Why would you want an original Droid over a replacement. Incredible? Did you drop the phone? If the power button isn't defective by human error then the warranty will cover replacement. You can call customer care from a landline and have them troubleshoot it if you don't want to go to a store. They may tell you though it needs to be looked at
