a data and cache wipe would fix it. but i would go with froyo. it has a lot of improvements.

OK.....I am a neophyte when it comes to this so I need to be bottle fed. Any help will be much appreciated. Didn't think Froyo was out yet for this phone? Wouldn't mind getting rid of about 85% of the BS on this phone to.

lol. read man!! this whole site is dedicated to the very things you mentioned. froyo is not out, "offically". one of the great things about rooting is doing what you want with your phone.

these should get you started. check out stickies in the roms and hack section.

you dont need to be a victim of vzw bloat. all the custom roms are debloated. the new froyo roms are great. once you get started remember not to panic, everything is fixable. if you have questions dont be afraid to ask. someone is always around to help.

When I posted that I hadn't realized the Devs had froyo ready. Great now I have to find the stones to try this all out.....don't need any bricks.

lol. lets clear this up. you WILL brick your phone. one of the nice things about the fascinate is that you can always get your phone back to stock. a brick is just a phone waiting to happen....hey that a great line! :D
