I have read somewhere that Samsung would leave Google Now out of Jelly Bean updates, to keep from competing with S-Voice. Has anyone heard if this is true?

I doubt it...it's been included with all of the leaks so far.

I suppose Google Now won't provide voice control for phone functions like dialing. Will we still rely on svoice for those items?

Google search has always allowed you to dial numbers... even just by saying a store's name when it isn't in your contacts.

It is in the leaks as mentioned before but even if Samsung decided to leave it out, you can just download from the market.
