Notification light?

Right now as my phone is plugged into my car charger the notification light is flashing orange then green really quickly. What does this mean? I do not have a notification.

It means that there is a serious error condition and that you should take it off that charging apparatus immediately. I'd suggest a battery pull, cool down, and retry with another charger and/or cable. One at a time if they are not a combined unit.
