How to set pin for pairing a bluetooth device

Trying to pair my Jawbone Era to my Samsung Note 3 and get a message which says incorrect pin or password. I can not find a place to enter the recommended pin. :-\ Can someone give me clear directions on how to do this Please ?

I believe the default is 0000 for Jawbones or maybe 1234.
Once you put the earpiece into pairing mode and the phone to scan for it, the phone should identify it as an optional device. Once you select it, Note will ask for the pin.
