Protective Plastic Covering

I know this is a strange question. I just got my S4 today and am setting it up. The phone lens on the back looks a bit scratchy on the edges. I can't tell if there is protective plastic covering it other than the full body piece that I pulled off. I tried swiping my nail along the edge and there was nothing and don't want to keep picking at it so I thought I would ask.

There is a piece of plastic with a hole in the middle covering the lens...safe to take off if you want...some people leave it on to keep the lens from getting scuffed...I have the otterbox commuter so I took mine off. Im not sure if it will cause issues when taking pictures though.

Yeah, there is one. Took me a while to make sure it wasn't supposed to be there. Take it off.
