Hello,

Traveling soon to Palm Springs and would like to know the quality of Verizon's 4G LTE in the Palm Springs area. Also, what type of data transfer speeds do you see?

Thanks,
Thomas

Yes, perhaps the marketing map is accurate but would love to hear from people in the area. But given your point I'll modify my question to, what type of data transfer speeds do Verizon customers see in the Palm Springs CA area?

Thanks,
Thomas

My Friend returned his Galaxy Nexus because that area dosen't have it.

He had no clue and kept the GN on 4g and it kept eating his battery. So he joined the iPhone 4s sheepel.

Talk about a step backwards....

Most of the consumer world is clueless.

Thanks to this forum I am not one of them!!! :p

Good point. I should be prepared to turn off 4g to make sure the battery doesn't get drained.

Just looked at an app, 4G LTE Toggle, which states it "will switch your active network between CDMA and LTE". Is this not the same thing as Settings --> Wireless & Networks --> Mobile networks --> System Selection? Why would I pay 99cents for an app to do this? For one-click?
