Here's VMs new T&C of service for those of you who missed it .

We're upgrading our systems to serve you better and, as a result, some of our Important Service/Product Terms and General Terms & Conditions of Service (the Terms) are being updated. We encourage you to review the Terms before updates take effect (December 2012 through early 2013).

Not to worry, you will receive an email message once the update is complete alerting you that the new Terms are in effect. In the meantime, we wanted to highlight a few of these important updates and remind you of a few that we already had in place - since you're probably wondering what this means to you:

Virgin Mobile / payLo Customers - General Updates

Text Messaging Using 7-Digit Numbers
Currently, you are able to send a text message using just the 7-digit phone number (and no area code). Once the system is updated however, in order to send a text message you must enter the entire 10-digit phone number, area code included [i.e. (XXX) XXX-XXXX].
Kickback Bonus Program
The Kickback Bonus Program is being expired in its current form and will no longer be available or offered after December 31, 2012. In order to better serve you, we are hoping to bring an updated version of the program back in the future.
Service Preserver
Monthly Plan Customers: Effective 12/31/12, Monthly Plan customers will no longer be eligible for the $90 Service Preserver offering.
Pay As You Go Customers: Effective 12/31/12, Pay As You Go Plan customers who want to take advantage of the Service Preserver offering must add the $90 to their account all at one time (in one single transaction).
Daily Top-Up Limit Rules Changing
Currently, you are not able to add a balance if it will pass the maximum account balance threshold of $400. Once the system is updated however, you will be allowed to pass the threshold before being restricted from adding a balance.
Top-Up Minimums & Maximums
The Top-Up minimum for Virgin Mobile/payLo customers will remain at $10 ($5 for credit card payments), while the maximum will change to $200 once the system is updated.
Monthly Plan Customers - Updates

Registered Payment Vehicle Options - Removing Low Balance Option
If you are a monthly plan customer, you will no longer have the option to have your Registered Payment Vehicle automatically add money to your account if it reaches a low balance ($5 or less). The option to have your Registered Payment Vehicle automatically pay for your Monthly Plan and any other monthly charges will still be available.
Speed Reduction for Beyond Talk Monthly Plans
Once the system is updated, we will begin throughput speed reduction for the Beyond Talk Monthly plans on all devices. To ensure all customers have reliable access to data services, we will begin implementation of throughput speed reduction, once the established threshold is reached.
To help ensure you're aware of your throughput limiting status, we'll send you a message when 85% of the data threshold has been used, and again when you've reached 100% of your data threshold and speeds will be reduced.

Pay As You Go Plan Customers - Updates

Pay As You Go Payments/Top-Ups No Longer Cumulative - Full Amount Must Be Added In One Transaction to Extend Service
For Pay As You Go Plans, any payments/Top-Ups made in order to extend your service will no longer be cumulative within a 72-hour period. Once the system is updated, you will need to add the full amount in a single transaction in order to extend your service. (i.e. $10 for 45 days of service, $20 for 90 days of service or $90 for 365 days of service)
Registered Payment Vehicle Options - Removing Monthly Charge Option
Once the system is updated, you will no longer have the ability to set your Registered Payment Vehicle to pay for monthly charges such as add-on charges like Data Packs or Messaging Packs or set the day of the month when you want your account to be topped-up.
If you currently have one of these options set, once the system is updated, you will have to select the option to Top-Up every 90 days or when your cash balance is low ($5 or less).
Registered Payment Vehicle Options - Must Add $20 Every 90 Days to Extend Service
If you are a Pay As You Go Plan customer, you will no longer be able to add $15 to extend your service for 90 days. $15 will extend your service for 45 days.
Once the system is updated, you will need to add at least $20 every 90 days in order to extend your service.
Minute/Message/Data Pack Add-Ons
Once the system is updated, service periods for Minute/Message/Data Pack add-ons will change from 30-days to a calendar month cycle (for example, if you purchase a Message Pack on May3rd it is good through June 2nd, and you'll need to purchase another Message Pack on June 3rd).
Minute Pack Maximums Changing
If you are a Pay As You Go Plan customer who purchases Minute Packs, you are aware that there is a 5,000 minute maximum - once you accumulate 5,000 minutes in your account, any additional Minute Packs added will not increase your minute count above 5,000.
Once the system is updated, the 5,000 minute maximum rule for Minute Packs will be removed. Instead, you will be allowed to add a maximum of 10-$20 Minute Packs, 5-$30 Minute Packs, 5-$50 Minute Packs).
