Smaller storage and micro SD or more storage?

Hey guys and gals,

I currently have a Tab 3 that I'm going to have to return as it's a work device and want to pick up my own Android tablet.

This has been the first Android Tablet I've used. I've been listening to AC podcast for a while now so feel like I know just enough about Android to be dangerous :)

Anyway, I'm looking at picking either the Tab S 8.4 or Nvidia Shield. Both have microSD slots

I know that in KitKat there were changes to how SD cards work but what really changed and how does it affect a regular user like myself? I'm not looking to root the device or anything like that.

Can I save games and apps to the the SD card with no issues?

Or should I spend the extra $100 and go for 32GB on the Shield?

Thanks everyone.

It's always best to get more internal storage if you can afford it. Although most devices allow you to move apps to SD, it's never the whole app that is moved--only a portion of it. A substantial part of the app needs to remain in internal storage to function correctly. Therefore, internal storage is very important if you're interested in installing a lot of apps or big apps.
